The thought process behind the LINE series is philosophical deconstruction. New technological experiments (such as mold forming, special grinding, fusing, and hand polishing) were needed to unravel the theory. The artist’s main consideration while developing the techniques was to preserve the external geometric form. Dramatic tension was concentrated into the form. The resulting works project the expansion of lines into the object’s space. From the composed main view it is a virtual relief; from all other angles it is incomprehensible. The tension is created by the contrast of the soothing geometrical forms and the visual effects within them.
